Term Limits
- No United States Senator shall serve more than (2) terms, consisting of six years per term.
- No United States Representative shall serve more than (6) terms consisting of two years per term.
Why is this important?
In a nutshell,
"Absolute power corrupts absolutely!" If one studies our founding
documents these were not meant to be lifetime jobs. The term
"familiarity breeds contempt" comes to mind with these career
politicians, as they continue to owe more and more favors and forget
that they work for and serve "We the People."
